Bell Test of Entanglement
Bell's theorem (1964) and experiments from 1972 on show correlations that no local hidden-variable theory can explain.
Open in the interactive tree →Einstein, Podolsky and Rosen argued in 1935 that quantum mechanics is incomplete; Bell turned the dispute into a testable inequality, and tests by Clauser, Aspect and others (loophole-free in 2015) favour quantum mechanics. Entanglement is the resource of quantum cryptography, communication and computing (Nobel Prize 2022).
